Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Man with Van Loxford is committed to conducting its business with integrity, transparency, and respect for human rights. This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. It applies to all employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers engaged by Man with Van Loxford.

Our Zero-Tolerance Approach

We operate a strict zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking in any form. This includes forced labour, bonded labour, child labour, servitude, and any form of exploitation. We will not knowingly work with any individual, organisation, or supplier involved in such practices.

All staff are expected to act ethically, comply with all applicable laws, and uphold our values. Any breach of this policy is treated as a serious matter and may result in disciplinary action, termination of contracts, and, where appropriate, reporting to relevant authorities.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Man with Van Loxford provides removals, transportation, and related logistical services. Our supply chains include vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment and packaging suppliers, facilities management services, and labour agencies. We recognise that some sectors and regions carry a higher risk of modern slavery, and we focus additional attention on these areas where relevant.

Supplier Standards and Due Diligence

We expect our suppliers and business partners to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery and to comply with all relevant legislation and regulations. As part of our due diligence processes, we assess new suppliers for ethical practices, including their approach to labour standards, working conditions, and human rights.

Where appropriate, we seek confirmation from suppliers that they have their own policies and procedures to prevent modern slavery and that they cascade similar expectations through their own supply chains. We reserve the right to terminate relationships with suppliers that cannot demonstrate compliance with our standards or that are found to be involved in modern slavery or human trafficking.

Supplier Audits and Monitoring

Man with Van Loxford undertakes proportionate supplier audits and monitoring activities, taking into account the size of the supplier, the nature of the goods or services provided, and the level of risk identified. These audits may include requests for documentation on employment practices, policies on modern slavery, and information on how labour is sourced and managed.

Where risks are identified, we may carry out enhanced checks, request corrective action plans, or conduct follow-up reviews to ensure improvements are implemented. Failure to address identified issues may result in a review or termination of the business relationship.

Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing

We encourage all employees, contractors, and workers within our supply chains to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking. Concerns can be raised through internal reporting channels or directly to management. Reports can be made confidentially, and individuals who raise concerns in good faith will not face retaliation or detrimental treatment.

All reports of suspected modern slavery are taken seriously and investigated promptly. Where appropriate, we will cooperate with law enforcement and other relevant authorities to address and remedy any confirmed instances of modern slavery.

Training and Awareness

We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff. Relevant employees, particularly those involved in procurement, recruitment, and supplier management, receive guidance on identifying potential indicators of exploitation and on the steps to take if concerns arise.

We review our training and awareness measures periodically to ensure they remain effective, up to date, and appropriate to the evolving nature of modern slavery risks.

Continuous Improvement and Annual Review

Man with Van Loxford recognises that combating modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility. We are committed to continuous improvement in our policies, procedures, and practices. This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is reviewed annually by our management team to assess its effectiveness and to identify opportunities for enhancement.

As part of the annual review, we consider changes in legislation, industry best practice, and feedback from employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Updated versions of this statement are approved at senior level and communicated internally and externally as appropriate.

This statement reflects our ongoing commitment to act ethically, to protect the dignity and rights of all individuals, and to play our part in eliminating modern slavery and human trafficking from our business and supply chains.
